Outdoor Fun in Fargo

We started off our Saturday morning in a great way - Grandpa Ken made pancakes for everyone. He even made bunny shaped cakes for Lucy and Roman. Pretty impressive! :)

We spent most of the morning outside. The kiddos were eager to help with the garden!

We were planting peppers!

After some time in the dirt, we got out the sidewalk chalk! There is nothing better than cracking open a brand new box of sidewalk chalk.

As I mentioned previously on the blog, the children are obsessed with the movie Trolls these days. As a result, most of our sidewalk art revolved around Trolls.

First up - Poppy!

Satin and Chenille! :) Didn't Lucy do a nice job on their hair?

Branch - Roman did the body on this guy.

Roman created this drawing of Guy Diamond - complete with him farting glitter! Haha!

Finally - a sweet drawing to wish Auntie Amelia a Happy Birthday. We love you!

After playing with chalk, we helped Grammy in the flower beds. This girl loves to find and play with worms! I love it! Lucy loves pink and all things glitter but can wrangle a worm like nobody's business!

Roman also collected some wiggly worms.

What a great morning in the yard!

Friday Funday

We had a very fun-filled Friday during our Easter vacation. We set out for adventures with Grammy Nola and our first stop was Little Whipper Snippers - a children's salon in Fargo. Roman was in desperate need of a hair cut so he was able to get a good trim. He watched some Paw Patrol during his cut. Here is Romy's before picture ...

Halfway through the cut

And the finished look! He is a little bit squinty because he had some hair on his face. What a handsome guy! Roman requested a faux hawk style at the end of his cut.

Little Miss Lucy didn't need a haircut but she got a special manicure for the Easter holiday.

She chose an orange and sparkle combo.

Lucy also got a special hairdo complete with a tiara clip. She was over the moon! It was such a fun morning.

After a few errands and a picnic in the car (It was very windy!) we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at Yunker farms. We were able to give high fives and take some pictures with the Eater Bunny.

We got in line for the 100 Easter Egg Hunt. These two were pretty excited!

The kids got tons of eggs! (They were all empty and the children traded them in for a bag with a few treats)

After our egg hunt, the kids headed for the green house for some face painting and bunny bowling.

Look at my sweet honey bunnies!

After our face painting we spent a little bit of time in the children's museum. We colored eggs.

We looked at some of the exhibits. Roman loved milking the cow. He even put on a little cow costume to help with the milking process. And, no, he did not put his mouth on the actual teats. Haha! He was closely watched!

After our time inside, we went outside to ride the carousel and little train.

Here are my little bunnies on the train!

And, to top off our fun day of activities - Brian, Amelia, and baby James arrived from Roseville on Friday evening. I know that I say this all of the time but Lucy and Roman love, love, love their little cousin. Lucy was very eager to cuddle with this sweet guy!

Thanks for the fun day, Storm family!

Easter in Fargo!

This year we headed to Fargo to celebrate Easter with the Storm family.  We loaded up the truck and made our way west on Thursday morning. These two were excited. They don't have DVDs for the car but we do have the Trolls soundtrack so they were ready to sing and dance their way to Fargo. Haha!

It has been a while since we traveled to Fargo to celebrate the Easter holiday!
Here is a picture from the last time we were here ...

We may have eaten some Easter treats and wore some bunny ears in the truck ...

We arrived just in time to take a quick walk to the river and fly some kites. It was great to stretch the legs before dinner. Dan put together an Ironman Kite for Romy.

Lucy had a Hello Kitty kite and she did an amazing job of flying it - all by herself!

This picture is kind of blurry but you get the idea - one speedy little girl with her kite! She loved it.

It feels so good to get outside after many hours in the car!

And, yes - he does need a haircut! We took care of that the next day! ;)

When Grandpa Ken came home, these two quickly put on their bunny ears and hopped over to say Happy Easter!

We gave Grammy some of our artwork to hang up with her Easter decorations. So cute!

After grilling salmon for supper we took an evening walk. Roman loves hugs from his Grammy Nola!

Brad came over to spend the evening with us too.

Lucy loves her Uncle Brad so much. This picture of them holding hands as they stroll down the road is just the sweetest!

The night was a perfect start to a wonderful Easter weekend.
