Happy Pi Day!

We celebrated Pi Day on March 14 by making homemade pizza pie! :) Lucy was eager to help.

This girl loves a good pizza!

A beautiful day for a parade

We had a taste of spring time glory with a beautiful Saturday in mid-March. After music class we headed to Pioneer Park for some play time.

Roman was in his happy place - surrounded by slides and swings.

Lucy is old enough to navigate the monkey bars now!

We had a picnic in the park before heading downtown to watch the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

We quickly found a seat on the curb.

And found some of our friends! Lucy was excited to sit by Maggie. We were also joined by Sarah, Miriam, Marieke, and Singer. We had a little pack of kids to catch candy!

Most normal St. Patrick's Day parades have leprechauns and rainbows - we also have Hodags! :)

Roman was excited to see them! :)

The kids got a ton of candy at the parade!

The also got one lone Subway balloon to share. I love this picture of them both holding onto the string as we left the parade. Haha!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

A very long week ...

Daniel took his annual work trip to Kentucky to check on the elk herd. Mama and the kids stayed behind in Wisconsin to hold down the fort. The week started off well ... We played outside.

We watched a movie and had popcorn. :)

Then on Wednesday ... our residence was overwhelmed by these guys. Germs.

Both Lucy and I had high fevers on Thursday so we had a girls day at home. We had popsicles and rested.

By Friday, Lucy and I were still down for the count and I didn't have the energy to take Roman to day care. He was a little bit under the weather too so we all stayed home. Ai yi yi.

We pretty much stayed in our pjs all day. Ugh. It was a l-o-n-g week.

Then, right before Dad returned, the wave of sickness subsided! We were able to go outside and play again! :)

Can't wait for spring to come, we are sick of being sick this winter! It has been a long one, especially for Lucy as her immune system is not quite back to normal yet following her HSP.

We even busted out the sidewalk chalk for the first time to draw some pictures to welcome Dad home. Yay for healthy kids!

A Trip to the Ballet

Some friends invited us to the ballet in Wausau and we quickly said yes! Lucy was so excited to see the Carnival of the Animals.

We met up with Jake and Laura to go to the show. Of course Lucy wore her ballet shirt. :) The performance was great - Lucy loved the dancing, costumes, and music. What a fun afternoon!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

We celebrated Dr. Seuss' Birthday at the Storm household this year! The kids both have Cat in the Hat t-shirts and they were excited to sport them for the big event at the Rhinelander Public Library.

Mama picked the kids up after school on Tuesday evening for our evening out. We stopped at Golden Harvest for dinner. Lucy and Roman love eating peanut butter sandwiches there. :)

We headed to the library for a Dr. Seuss party! Here is a selfie of Mama and Roman at the event.

We had treats and listened to music and Dr. Seuss stories.

The kiddos even won some door prizes!

Lucy got a Wocket in my Pocket creature and Roman won a Put Me in the Zoo animal! It was a fun night!

Also - Lucy worked on some Dr. Seuss Art at day care - she was happy to bring home this 1 Fish / 2 Fish craft.

Signs of Spring

It is starting to get more spring like in the Northwoods!
Snow is starting to melt. This is our first picture outdoors in 2016 without our big winter coats. Yay!

Lucy started t-ball this year. She is so excited to play ball.

Here she is testing out her glove the evening before practice. :)

Happy Spring!

Crafting

Okay, everyone! This post has been a long time coming! It has been quite a while since I did some serious crafting. :) I had a day off for President's Day and dusted off the sewing machine to make some curtains for my kiddos.

We picked out fabric for Lucy's windows ages ago! This gem was in the clearance bin at JoAnn Fabrics, the yellow goes perfectly with Lucy's yellow walls.

This was the before shot - I had Dan hang the curtain rods back in January to motivate me with my projects.

And here is the after! I love them!

I think that they turned out pretty well. :)

I also made some curtains for Roman's room! I have had the green fabric for a while but we got the blue teepees just recently. A Hobby Lobby opened in Rhinelander (watch out!) so we stopped by and Roman picked it out.

Here is the finished look in our big boy's room! So happy to have curtains hanging! It will be very nice to have them in place as it starts staying light out longer and longer into the evening.

Oh yeah - as long as I was in crafting mode, I quickly made a puppy style burp cloth for our new niece or nephew due this September! Can't wait for Amelia and Brian's new baby to arrive!! :)
