Happy Easter!

Each Easter our family has a tradition of preparing a scavenger hunt so the kiddos and go find their baskets. I always try to come up with clever rhymes and hiding spots.

The children love zipping around the house looking for clues.

All of the baskets were hiding in Mom and Dad's shower this year! :)

The boys are very into wrestling these days so the Easter Bunny found them some action figures - John Cena and Rey Mysterio for the win!

Next up - Easter egg hunt in the basement!

Let the sugar rush begin! Haha!

We ordered a couple of butter braids for a Chippewa Valley boys choir fundraiser from some kids down the street - Easter seemed like a good time to bake these guys!

We had Dan run butter braids up the hill so these cuties could enjoy an Easter breakfast treat.

Tried to snap a picture of the Storm kids looking sharp in their Easter best.

This is a more accurate representation of the photo session.

We did yet another egg search at the church playground. What a haul!

We popped by our house after church to assemble some fruit and Peep kebobs.

The Cihacek boys wanted to meet Prince so they stopped by too. Here's the crew! Yay for beautiful weather - it sure helps when Easter is pretty much as late as it can possibly be in the calendar. :)

We had the best meal - Easter dinner is my favorite - gotta love deviled eggs and ham!

Leo's favorite menu item was the fruit kabobs.

I mean, this is the feast of champions for sure!

It was the perfect day to fly a kite and use sidewalk chalk! What a perfect spring sky, right?

We played at Jeffers Park in the afternoon.

Yay for spring!

Happy Easter!

Welcome Prince + Easter Fun!

At long last Roman brought his beloved leopard gecko home from Tropic Waters during Easter week. Romy was just beaming ear to ear!

He named this little critter Prince.

Prince quickly oriented himself to his new home. :)

We had a fun & festive Easter Saturday with an Easter Egg Hunt at the movie theater. It reminded me of Rhinelander times! Haha!

We high fived the bunny on the way in and made our way to the theater to look for eggs. It was packed with children so we had to find a theater in a random hallway off the beaten path to locate our treasures.

No worries! All of the Storm kids did find some eggs. :)

The eggs either had candy or paper slips with bigger prizes. Here is Lucy showing off all her winnings! Roman was so bummed because he apparently discarded any eggs that felts 'light' because he thought they were empty. Dang!

One of Lucy's big prizes was a Movie blanket. She was thrilled!

After our hunt, we posed with the big bunny - funnily enough the 2 big kids thought this guy was creepy but Leo loved him! Hah! We collected prizes and got situated to see Peter Rabbit at the theater.

Lucy snuggled with her new blanket right away!

After our movie we headed over to Growler Guys for lunch and Easter crafts. Pizza and root beer make the lunch of champions!

The backroom had a bunch of Easter crafts.

My L's were happy to make some sweet chicks. Roman opted out of any crafting on this day. The rest of us watched the Twins game and had lunch.

After lunch we headed to Grandma Nola and Grandpa Ken's house for some cousin time! We always love our Teddy snuggles.

We dyed Easter eggs!

Everyone loves this tradition.

Thumbs up from the kids. :)

And thumbs up from the rest of us who love deviled eggs!

We returned to our own house for some quiet time that afternoon. My big kids no longer believe in the Easter bunny {Insert frowny face about them growing up so fast here} But the best part of them being older and wiser is that they now fill all of the plastic eggs with little candies on my behalf.

Love it!
