Here is some Halloween season happiness from the Storm household.
The boys dressed up for the Jeffers Park Trunk or Treat Event just down the street from our house. This year Roman wanted to be a 'skeleton cowboy' and Leo shopped Grandma Nola's dress up bin for a Spiderman costume.
There were literally thousands of people at this Trunk or Treat - it was bananas! We did run into a bunch of people we knew from baseball and school, including Leo's buddy Lambeau.
We met up with our favorite Shark (AKA Lucy) who was just back from a Cross Country meet. It was a FUN evening.
In late October Leo won the weekly SPLASH award for his Kinder class. This is given to kiddos for being Safe, Responsible, Respectful and Kind. He was so proud!
The children and I attended the Bunnicula play at the Eau Claire Children's Theater.
Of course we created bunny ears and got vampire teeth in the lobby. :)
It was the cutest little show.
Here is the crew with Bunnicula and his puppet handler after the performance - you can look closely and see that his eyes do glow red. ;)
The kids and I stopped by our local grocery store for some stamps and we stumbled across a Trick or Treat Event - everyone walked away with a bunch of treasures - food, drinks, balloons, tattoos, you name it!
We visited our local Walgreens for some shots and everyone found entertaining things in the toy aisle to occupy their wait time.
Everyone loves our trips to the library and their massive cooperative art projects/community coloring sheets.
Our September / Early October weekends are really consumed by Fall Ball so it was good to get away from the ball fields and head to the Field of Screams at the end of October.
This is a 4H - run experience so, in addition to a Haunted House, Spooky Maze, bouncy houses, and other fall fun - there were lots of critters to see and pet.
You all know that Roman cannot resist animals! His favorite were these precious donkeys.
We got some face painting courtesy of the 4H kids ;)
We were glad to run through the haunted maze during the daytime hours.
We met lots of spooky friends along the way. ;)
Leo had a great time!
You better believe that we took photos by the 'How Tall This Fall?' signs.
Leo drew a picture of his Uncle Brad - he wanted us to take a photo and send Brad's way! ;)
We had a pumpkin painting night at the Storm household - of course we had an Eras Tour themed one in the mix. ;)
Roman made a hamburger. LOL!
Lucy also worked on a pink Barbie inspired pumpkin.
Clearly we all love cobwebs!
I headed to Austin, Texas for a work trip at the end of the month. Dan kept me posted with lots of nice photos - like this snapshot from top of the deer stand.
The crew had Kombucha and flew kites.
They carved some Jack-O-Lanterns! Our front steps were full of carved and painted pumpkins. Love to see it!
They went out for Mexican food. Yum!
Meanwhile, Mom was having fun with her work friends at the Thrive Conference.
Greetings from Austin, Texas!
Of course we all came home with cowgirl hats. Yeehaw!
They even had real cowboys on hand to brand the hats. How cool!
I chose a star, S for Storm, and a Texas longhorn for my hat. 10 out of 10 recommend.
Whenever I go to Austin I send lots of 'Austin - Stay Weird' content back to my brother Austin. One of my favorite things to do! Sister of the year - Haha!
My trip to Austin was a nice change of scenery from my daily work; it was great to see my colleagues in person, and I had some delicious food but it was so nice to head home. I was getting a bit overwhelmed with upcoming Election anxiety so was wanting to get back to my family and my home base. No place like home!
