Late April Happenings

We wrapped up April with a visit to Healthy Kids Day at the YMCA! Lucy and Roman were so pumped to see the Hodag that morning.

We also bumped into another mascot - Scoopie the Culver's Ice Cream cone! :)

The children had a great morning doing crafts, running around, getting free treasures from vendors, and eating healthy snacks Culver's ice cream!

We always enjoy movie night around here, complete with popcorn, stuffed animals, pj's and siblings. Lucy and Roman don't always love to sit this close to each other, by the way. ;)

We spent late April exploring outside and saying goodbye to the snow that was still left on the ground.

We gave hugs and smooches to our lil cheese curd!

Our baby bear kicked and played while we got an oil change on the car.

Lucy continued to practice for her spring ballet performance.

This little man is rocking and rolling these days!

Roman is loving his role as big brother at day care! He regularly checks in on Leo during the day.

Lucy loves the little guy too - even when he tries to bite her arm!

One of Lucy's most recent hobbies is creating nests and art galleries in the corner of her room.

What a kid!

Other than that, we have just been splashing around in our rain boots and enjoying the thaw!

We are so glad to see you, spring!

Lucy and Roman (and Dad!) found a great culvert where they could drop things - sticks, snow chunks, etc and watch them wash through to the other side of the road. Cheap entertainment, people! The kids were fascinated!

After a l-o-n-g winter, we are grateful for evening walks.

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter at the Storm residence!

The kiddos were up bright and early, ready for their basket search. Our Easter Bunny leaves them notes for a scavenger hunt. Lucy and Roman put on their bunny ears and eagerly started their hunt!

The looked high and low and ended up finding the baskets on the big freezer this year.

Lucy was excited to get a LOL Surprise from the Easter Bunny.

We ate breakfast and had our annual quota of Peeps which is one!! Hahahaha

We went to church and snapped a few pics after services.

It was a beautiful day!! Easter in late April is far superior than an Easter in mid-March! Just sayin’!

Check out Leo’s sweet little outfit! Gotta love that bunny tail!

Happy 1st Easter baby boy!

We snuggled a bit, cooked a ham and made deviled eggs!

We packed up our food and the kiddos and headed over to Ed and Amber’s house for Easter lunch.

Here are Lucy and Miriam sporting their bunny ears.

Can you believe that we could eat our meal outside?

As you can see there is still a bit of snow in the background but it was still so lovely to enjoy a spring day outside.

Somehow the Easter bunny knew that we would be at the O'Casey's house and left the big kids with ANOTHER egg hunt. ;) This time all of the eggs were filled with Legos.

These three played all afternoon.

Even Leo got a couple of Easter treats and snuggled in with the adults chatted.

We ended our celebration with cascarones - Easter eggs filled with confetti that you crack on other people's heads! As you can see, this was no fun at all. :)

Ed, Amber, and Miriam are moving to San Antonio this summer and we will sure miss them! I am already plotting some spring break trips to Texas! ;)
