Mid August Happenings

Here is just a glimpse into the mid-August happenings at the Storm household!

Ranger and time at the lake were our primary activities.
Daniel took Ranger to visit Lucy's class at day care. The kids were beyond excited to meet a puppy. :) They were all very gentle and kind. Lucy loved every minute.

Here is one of adventures at Buck Lake. Roman enjoyed taking a dip in the water.

Playing on the beach was a hit too!

Here is Lucy sitting on Dad's shoulders in the water!

We took Ranger on lots of walks - rain or shine. :)

A raincoat and rain boots with pajamas - a great combination! :)

 Our sweet puppy Ranger!
Happy Summer!

Art Start

Lucy and I had a girls weekend in August while Daddy and Roman headed down to Arena to spend time with Karl, Shoshana and baby Clara.

We attended an Art Start event - we had a picnic outside

They had animals onsite and the idea was that the kids could draw them.

Here is Lucy working on her masterpiece.

Nice job!

We also found our friend Miriam at the event. :)

After we were done drawing, we headed to the gallery to look at the art and eat cookies. How cute are these?

What a fun day!

Welcome Ranger!

We took Ranger home in early August. He was been a wonderful addition to our household. :) We missed having a pup around so much. Things just were not the same without a dog in our home!!

Be prepared for cuteness overload! What a sweet little puppy! Ranger had the hiccups during one his first days at our house and my heart almost exploded from cuteness. Haha!

A boy and his dog! We hope that Roman and Ranger will have many wonderful years together romping around outside. :)

Roman loves feeding and petting his new dog.

Ranger is already getting exposed to birds.

Love this little pup!

When we first got Ranger, my routine was to take him on a walk first thing in the morning. The kids would often get up and walk with me. Now it is very dark in the mornings so we no longer get a walk in before the day begins.

Here is Lucy cuddling with our little guy.

Introducing Ranger to the big field at Nicolet.

Romy making himself at home in Ranger's kennel.

We love you Ranger!

Lucy @ 3.75

In early August Lucy reached the 3.75 mark!

Here is our little girl with her hands full of toad. :) We hope that she continues to love nature and remains curious about the outdoors for the rest of her life!

Here are some of the things that Lucy loves these days -
Curious George videos

Little treasures - when we go to the thrift store she picks out little 99 cent bags of stuff, she loves these things and will line the up on the windowsills or fill her purses with them.

Jewelry! Nothing better than rings and barrettes featuring Hello Kitty, Disney princesses, etc.

Hanging out in her teepee. This used to be Dan's when he was a little boy, now Lucy enjoys spending time in here. She literally sleeps in it about once a week.

Hosting tea parties and picnics. Lucy loves having parties! Here is one of her picnics.

Here are her typical guests. Sometimes we get invited too.

Flowers! Lucy enjoys sniffing and picking all flowers. Here is a little bunch of sunflowers that she picked out at the farmers market this summer.

We love you Lucy!

Apostle Islands Sunset Cruise

As promised, here are the photos from our Apostle Islands sunset cruise.
We left Bayfield in the evening and were able to cruise around the islands in the bay. We saw a beautiful sunset.

Our group on board the boat!

Here is Lucy cruising with Grandma Nola. We were a little bit worried because the length of cruise was 3.5 hours but the kids did great. They had lots of fun on the big boat and there were lots of extra sets of hands to hold them and provide entertainment. :)

Relaxing with Auntie Amelia.

Roman snuggled with Grandpa Ken.

Here are some pictures of our family on the boat. Hard to get our kids to both look and smile in the same direction!

Being goofy with Grandma Nola and Grandpa Ken.

Here is a quick pic of Brian and Amelia. So cute!

Roman just watching the waves with Grandma.

Here are the famous red cliffs on the shoreline.

We were able to see lighthouses on several of the islands. There are actually 21 islands in the National Lakeshore.

We saw a great sunset.

Thanks for the wonderful evening, Storm family! We had a wonderful time on board our sunset cruise.
