A day at the park

The days are getting nicer and the kids are eager to play at the park.

Roman loves the slide this year!

He can zip down all by himself!

Aside from the play equipment, Roman absolutely loves seeing the train at Pioneer Park. He will shout, 'Choo Choo!' as soon as he sees it and run towards it as fast as he can. He also enjoys seeing dogs! He loves any 'puppy dogs' and will definitely want to pet all pups at the park.

Lucy loves to swing! Look at how long her hair is these days.

Recent Art Projects

Here are a few recent art projects from the kids -

A little snapshot from Lucy - not sure that this is 100% accurate (She says that her favorite toy is cars??) but very sweet none the less! :)

Here is one of Roman's masterpieces. He is doing a great job using crayons these days!

At one of our recent play group sessions, the kids painted teeth and toothbrush pictures with an actual toothbrush. They thought it was pretty neat stuff!

First Time Bowling!

Lucy's friend Alex recently turned 5 and she was invited to his birthday party at Hodag Lanes. She was excited to go bowling for the first time!

At the lanes with Dad!

Lucy is the world's s-l-o-w-e-s-t bowler! Haha! Her ball just inches down the lane but she somehow defied the laws of physics and managed to knock down a bunch of pins!

Check out these sweet bowling shoes. Love it!

Lucy really enjoyed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cupcakes! They had tons of frosting - hence the frosting face. Happy Birthday Alex!

Not pictured but also present at the event was Roman! That kiddo was a handful at the bowling alley - he found out that if he crossed over the line at the lane -- a buzzer would go off. After that discovery he would not stop darting for the lanes! He also tried to pick up several balls that were literally half his weight. Crazy boy!

Busy People

This is one of Lucy's favorite books these days -

Busy People features many people and their jobs. One of the people in the book is a lady named Sally who owns a clothing store. Lucy was looking at Sally's picture and then she started naming all of the items that were for sale. She listed dress, shirt, pants, socks, undies, jacket, etc. but when she got to the tie she paused (You can tell her Daddy doesn't wear one of these too often! Haha!) After she thought about it for a moment, she reported that it was a dog leash. Hilarious! Love it.

Easter Fun

One last Easter post to wrap up our festivities! The children woke up early to open their Easter baskets.
I love the sunlight streaming in the windows. Lucy and Roman were excited to find some sidewalk chalk, socks, and a few treats waiting for them on Sunday morning.

After church services, naps, and lunch we finally had our Easter egg hunt in Brian and Amelia's yard.

They were thrilled to find eggs with jelly beans hidden around the front yard.

Haley watched from the front door while Lucy and Roman hunted for eggs.

Very happy kids with their haul of jelly beans.

Thanks to Amelia for this sweet little montage!

Happy Easter 2015!

Happy Easter from the Storm family!

We celebrated Easter Sunday with family time, church services, and delicious food!

Lucy and Roman love spending time with their grandparents.

Sigh! This is really the only picture that I have of the kids wearing their Sunday best. Don't you love Roman's little hat? Unfortunately Lucy got her Easter dress dirty so we had to change her clothes before full family photos! Oh well! :) At least everyone is smiling!

Did I mention that we ate delicious food? The kids would agree!

Here are some pics of our Easter spread...
Ham!

Deviled Eggs!

Asparagus!

Easter Weekend Happenings

In addition to dyeing eggs, frosting cookies, and going to the zoo - here are some of the other Easter weekend happenings!

The kids l-o-v-e-d making music on Uncle Brad's tablet.

We celebrated March/April birthdays - Happy Birthday to Ken and Amelia! Lucy was eager to help them open gifts.

This girl also loves any opportunity to eat cake! :)

On Saturday night we were able to leave the kiddos with grandma and grandpa and head out to watch the UW v Kentucky basketball game. It was so much fun!

It was a great game and it was a good opportunity to spend time with Brad, Amelia, and Brian. :)

Como Zoo

We spent Saturday morning of our Easter vacation at Como Zoo! As it goes with our family - it wouldn't be a holiday or a vacation without someone getting sick! Unfortunately, Roman was not feel well on Saturday morning. He had a case of the pukes - luckily it was short lived! Also, no one else fell ill so that was a good thing.

While Romy and Dad stayed home to rest, Grandma, Grandpa, Lucy, Amelia, Brian, and yours truly went to the zoo!

Lucy was very excited to hang out in the jungle! And yes, she did wear her fairy wings to the zoo on this day. :)

Who needs to see animals when there is a coin centrifuge at the zoo?  Haha! Lucy's obsession with coins continues. :)

We saw monkeys...

...and sat with gorilla statues!

So fun to spend a Saturday at the zoo with this little girl!

We had a great morning out and about! The boys had a much needed rest and Lucy picked out a little treat at the gift shop for her brother.

Easter @ Brian and Amelia's!

We celebrated Easter at Brian and Amelia's house in Roseville this year. We had a wonderful long weekend with family.

I am happy to report that Lucy and Roman were great travelers on this trip! Yay! We had a good drive to the Twin Cities - the kids were excited to arrive at Auntie and Uncle's house. They were thrilled to greet the pets. Roman kept yelling, 'Hello Kitty!' at Dorothy and Henrietta.

The next morning the children decorated Easter cookies!

Delicious frosting!

Lucy was in heaven! Cookies, frosting and sprinkles - all of her favorites. :)

We also decorated eggs...

It was a shirtless event for the kiddos!

They had a wonderful time dyeing the eggs.

Roman was so happy to cuddle with Haley. He loves animals so much, especially dogs. It is so sweet to see him interact with pups - we definitely think that he is ready to welcome a new dog into our home!
