34 Weeks!

We had our 34 week appointment today. Here is the latest:

1. We continue to have a shy baby! He/she kept putting their little hands in front of their face during the ultrasound.

2. Here is one of the face shots we were able to capture:

Dan and I think that it looks more like a boy face than a girl face. :)

3. Baby's heart rate was at 126 bpm today!

4. I am measuring exactly at 34 weeks.

5. My doctor cleared my last trip to Fresno - slated for next week.

6. Here is what I look like these days:

Half Pint

A couple of weeks ago the Storms came to visit! Ken and Dan worked on replacing the fence in the backyard. Nola and I went to the Half Pint Resale which is a big consignment sale of baby clothes, toys, gear, etc in Madison. It was awesome.

Here is a picture of all of my great finds including toys, clothes, and cloth diapers!

I even bought a UW sleeper!

Nola and I found this CD of baby sounds to play for the dogs including crying, giggles, and screams. We played it for Scout and Chief and they had zero response. They just lounged around like nothing was going on. So apparently a new baby at the Storm household will not bother them!

We finally got a crib for the baby! Grandma Nola assembled it for us.

Here is what I am looking like these days. :) Just 6 weeks to go.

Labor Day Weekend

Austin, Mallory and their kids came to Madison over Labor Day weekend! The weather was kind of crappy (no grilling or going to the pool :( ) but we still had a great time. It was so fun to see them.

On Saturday we went to the Farmer's Market. We got some delicious sweet corn and had pasteries. Here are the boys taking a break in front of the Capitol building.

When we were done with our shopping, we cut through the Captiol building to get to the Children's Museum. Here is Paul in the Capitol.

A shot of the dome.

The Children's Museum was really great. I had never been there before - the kids loved it! There was a lot of space to play, a nice rooftop garden, and an awesome craft area. Here is Paul going down a slide.

Paul and Abigail hanging out. Aren't they the cutest?

Abigail had a lot of fun in the infant/small kid area.

After the Museum, we at lunch at Ella's Deli. It is a fantastic place with good sandwiches and lots of animatronic puppets of oldtimey characters.

Some of the characters are a little creepy - like this Betty Boop.

Paul got a sugary drink topped off with cotton candy.

Afterward, we went on the carousel.

While the Hoekman family visited - Abigail tried out some of our baby equipment like the Pack and Play and the bouncer. She loved it!

Paul loved playing ipad with his mom. He is quite a good Angry Birds player.

Here we are lounging around with our sweet nephew and niece.

Thanks for visiting Austin, Mallory, Paul, and Abigail! You guys are the best. We love you!

32 Weeks!

I had my 32 week appointment on Thursday. Dan and I were super excited to go because we had a growth ultrasound. Since we decided not find out the gender, we did not get a 20 week ultrasound like most pregnancies. The last time we saw our little one, it was only 12 weeks along. Now we can't see our full baby on the screen since he/she is too big. It was awesome to see baby Storm!

Here is the latest report:

1. All of baby's organs are accounted for and are functioning normally!
2. The baby was super shy and covering its little face with its hands during our entire ultrasound. We are getting another chance to get some face shots at our 34 week appointment. Hopefully the baby will be cooperative and we will have lots of pictures to share. :)
3. The baby is about 4.5 pounds right now. He or she is in the 78th percentile so will most likely be around 8 lbs when born. YAY! Since Daniel and I were both over 9 pounds when we were born, I was scared that we would have a gi-normous baby. 8 lbs sounds a lot better than 10!
4. The baby's heart rate was 140 beats per minute this visit.
5. I am measuring exactly at 32 weeks.
6. I officially scheduled all of my prenatal appointments for the rest of my pregnancy. We are in the homestretch.

30 Week Appointment

We made it to week 30!
This post is overdue - we had our 30 week visit to the doctor a week and a half ago.

Here is the latest:
Baby's heart rate: 154 beats per minute.
My belly measured exactly at 30 weeks.

In other news, Daniel and I officially started our birthing classes - Confident Homecoming. Dan was only mildly traumitized by the birthing videos. :)
