We wrapped up April with some journaling - love how Roman recaps his weekend with the cousins.
We had leftover ham from Easter so of course I made some quiche with the extras. ;) You can't beat ham and asparagus. Yum!
We got ready for the spring consignment sale! I told the kids that, if they helped me sort/tag, they could get a share of the earnings. They were eager to assist.
Wow - there is so much to see; we love being able to attend the pre-sale. Roman was thrilled to find this electric guitar. Lucy rummaged through all kinds of puzzles.
Roman is such a good thrifter (I think it is genetic! Haha!). He quickly found all kinds of items and started a big old pile for Mom to approve.
I spotted this puzzle - I definitely remember this one from my childhood.
I took Ranger to the vet with a gnarly case of conjunctivitis. Ugh - turns out that giving dogs eye drops is just as tricky as giving them to kids.
Roman is turning into quite the artist! He was among the children that were selected to have their artwork on display at the Eau Claire Schools Administration Building this spring.
The boys and I grabbed a car picnic from McDonalds after school and headed to the Admin building (Lucy had softball practice on this evening).
We found Roman's cave art inspired work!
Leo wanted his picture taken too.
The next stop that evening? A Sam Davey fun night at the Sports Center.
This was the rest of the night ... blurry photos with sweaty kids.
Everyone had the best time. :)
Saturday mornings are for basketball practice. Roman participated in a Super Hoopers program at the YMCA and Leo tagged along/hung out in the bleachers.
What else ... Lucy and Harper made smoothies.
Leo hung out with his little buddy King.
This sweet guy wore his digger jammies in honor of Papa Mark's birthday.
The big kids wrapped up their year at Sunday school. I do think it is a bit hilarious how obsessed my children are with the story of the 10 plagues. Hah!
Leo had yet another COVID exposure. Uggggg!! We spent another series of days staying at home. Will this pandemic ever end!?! Grateful that Leo is happy and healthy but dang this is disruptive!
Roman continues to work on his cursive skills. Haha!
We spent our stay at home days working on puzzles. Love this one highlighting national parks.
I also got out the kinetic sand and quickly regretted my decision! Haha! What a mess!
Leo and I went to the Airport Neighborhood garage sales! It was a very cold and rainy/snowy day so not ideal for treasure hunting but we still had fun.
After a few years of delays due to COVID and my own excuses, I finally made an appointment and got myself in to the clinic for a mammo appointment.
We ended the month by attending a dinner theater event at the Eau Claire Childrens theater. We saw a performance of The Aristocats and of course everyone sported kitty ears!
We had pasta for dinner and enjoyed the show.
This kid loves spaghetti! It was a such a fun night with my kitty loving crew.
We stopped by the library and Roman selected some graphic novels on Greek gods.
Leo is always excited to play with library toys and to find new reading material. We can't wait for the renovations to finish up downtown.
Lucy had a sleepover with a friend and they had crazy hair night.
That's a wrap on April!
