Long post alert! Grab a cup of coffee and be prepared to scroll - Haha!
We spent Mother's Day Weekend celebrating our precious baby boy! Leon had his Baptism on Mother's Day Sunday and we were so blessed to have a weekend filled with family & fun times. My heart was so full. :)
The kids were so excited to be surrounded by their cousins! It has been many years since we had our whole crew in Rhinelander so we were thrilled to have everyone in the Northwoods. Here are Roman and Peter hanging out in Grandma and Grandpa's hotel room.
Lucy and Abby quickly got to work decorating their space. Haha!
Nothing better than a hotel breakfast, am I right? Haha!
Our sweet little man got lots of snuggles.
We spent Saturday morning at Pioneer Park.
After a quick trip to Aldi's, we enjoyed a chilly picnic lunch.
The ladies celebrated Mother's Day weekend by getting pedicures on Saturday afternoon. My feet were in desperate need of some treatment - it was a l-o-n-g winter, people! It was so relaxing to get a pedi with some of my favorite mamas. Leo just snuggled in and watched the magic happen on my toes. :)
After the mamas were done, Auntie Andrea treated the big girls to manicures. They had a blast!
Just look at these little beauties!
I am so thankful that Lucy has some very dear girl cousins! Especially now that she has 2 brothers...
Growing up with a couple of brothers myself, I was so grateful to have my girl cousins!
On Saturday night we had a pizza and pool party at the hotel. The kids played and played, our Storm family arrived from North Dakota and Roseville, and we had a wonderful evening together.
Baby Leo soaked up some love from Uncle Brad and Auntie Amelia.
Roman loves hanging out with his cousin James!
New manicures - check, pizza - check, pool party - check, surrounded by cousins - check ... these girls were living their best life!
We celebrated the May Birthdays in our family - Nola, Austin, & Elijah - with a Dairy Queen cake. I hadn't had ice cream cake in ages and forgot about how glorious they are! So good!
Our big kids stayed at the hotel with family while the baby, Dan & I headed home to make egg bakes, chop fruit, and prep for Leon's special day.
We spent early Sunday morning picking up a cake from the bakery, we got corsages for the grandmas, we made sure that everyone had their Sunday clothes, and we dressed Leon in his precious little Baptism outfit that I got from Etsy.
I love this little family of mine so much!
We had a very special service for Leon.
Pastor Kari officiated the Baptism.
At Trinity, they invite all of the children up front so that they can see the miracle of baptism up close. It was so fun to see our cousins and other familiar faces in the crowd of kids watching Leo.
After Leo was baptized, Pastor Kari took him on a lap so that the congregation could see him up close. Lucy and Roman decided to tag along as well!
After services we took lots of family pictures! The only person missing on the Hoekman side was Paul - he was playing baseball on this weekend.
The Storm family was together for the big event! We love this crew so much!
Leo had both of his Grandmas by his side on this very special Mother's Day.
Leo is so fortunate to have such supportive grandparents. :)
Leo had all of his aunties and uncles as baptismal sponsors.
We all put our hands on Leon for a blessing.
When church was over we had a brunch & feasted on cake.
I am one lucky mama to have these 3 precious babies in my life.
Our family stopped by local Hodag statues for selfies on their way out of town.
We went home for naps and I opened some very special gifts for Mother's Day:
Don't you like how Roman reports that my favorite beverage is Beer? Haha!
After naptime we headed back to the hotel for swimming and the kids played some of their beloved Nintendo with Uncle Brad. ;)
They play with such intensity!
We ended our day at Casa Mexicana for dinner. Que Bueno! Little Leo is really starting to giggle so it is fun to get him laughing and smiling.
We had the best weekend! Thank you, thank you, thank you to our families for making the trek to Rhinelander for this special event - so grateful to have all of the people we love at Leo's big day.
