And we're off...

Our long awaited European trip is finally here!! We take off this morning. We are all packed, the dogs are at the kennel, and Lucy is wearing her tracksuit. Good to go!!

Lucy and the luggage! We are headed out with one bag for each person, a day pack, and, as you can see, Dan has a green tube filled with fishing equipment! He is hoping to catch some fish in the Norway fjords.

In preparation for our time in Amsterdam, Lucy is learning about artwork from the region. She is reading Van Gogh's World of Color.

We'll keep you posted on our adventures!! Love, The Storms

Lucy is 6 months old!

Our little Lucy is 6 months old!! She is doing great - she is sitting up on her own (side note - I tried to have her sit up for this photo but she was tired and not a happy camper when mama tried to get her to sit and smile)! Lucy is curious, she loves her dogs, she enjoys ripping paper and grabbing everything in sight, she is eating lots of different solid foods - so far it seems like sweet pototoes are her favorites, and she can roll all over the place. We love our growing girl!!

Lucy had her 6 month doctor's appointment last week! We are very blessed to have a happy and healthy girl. Here are her stats:

Weight: 15lbs 14 oz (46th percentile)
Head circumference: 43.8cm (87th percentile
Height: 26.63" (77th percentile)

We talked to the doctor about her ears - they have cleared up nicely from her double ear infection, her excema is looking much better, and she is ready for more meals of solid foods - which is good because her mama is having a hard time keeping up with pumping enough milk each day!!

We love you Lucy Bear!

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend at the Storm Household. :)

On Saturday morning, we went out to breakfast as a family at Fair Oaks Diner. Yum!!

Here is a picture of Dan and Lucy waiting for our food! (Quick question for other bloggers out there - Since blogger.com changed their site formatting, I am having trouble getting some of my photos to be oriented correctly - even though the files are saved appropriately on my computer. Any tips would be appreciated!!)

On Saturday morning, Daniel took Scout to her gun dog boot camp where she will spend a month becoming a more skilled/obedient bird dog!! :) She will have a great time. Her is Scouty asking for a belly scratch before they hit the road.

Lucy and I ran errands on Saturday morning and went to the Nakoma garage sales. It was awesome!! We had some great finds, including this Kelty backpack for carrying kids on hikes. It is really sturdy, it has tons of storage, toy loops, a rain & sun flap and a sweet mirror so that we can keep an eye on what Lucy is doing back there. :) Daniel googled it and it turns out that it retails for $230! We can't wait to take Lucy on hikes this summer.

In the afternoon we met our friend Cristin at the zoo! We had a great time catching up and walking around. It seemed like Lucy was more excited to take a nap than to see the animals. :) haha! We are excited to take more trips to the zoo this summer, hopefully Baby Hopp can join us!

On Mother's Day, I got to sleep in and spend some extra cuddle time with little Lucy. :) Daniel made a delicious breakfast and got me flowers. so sweet!

Here is a picture of Mama & baby on my first Mother's Day!

Lucy was all smiles after church.

After naps, we took a nice walk with Chief and had a picnic in the park. It was a beautiful day - Lucy loved playing outside.

What a great day! Lots of love to our Moms, Grandmas, Sisters-in-Law, Daycare providers and friends!!

A sure sign of summer...

Exciting times...Dan started his softball season on Thursday night!! Lucy and I were very excited to cheer for him. Daniel is playing on a team sponsored by Genna's this summer. It was a beautiful evening on Thursday and it was great to watch some baseball.

Here is the field

Dan warming up before batting

Lucy watching the game! She had to sport her Twins tee for the event. :)

Even though Team Genna's lost, we had a great time! We love cheering for Dan. We can't wait to spend more time at the park this summer!

Happy Earth Day!

A delayed post from Earth Day!! We spent the day doing some gardening and yard work. Lucy was our sweet little helper. She played outside on her blanket and discovered a new favorite activity - pulling grass. Here is our little peanut taking a nap outside:

Lucy in her Exersaucer

Hello Everyone!! Sorry for the hiatus in blogging. Between the Storm family sicknesses and preparing for our big trip to Euro - blogging has gone by the wayside! Good news - As of yesterday, everyone in our house is officially off of antibiotics. YAY. Lucy is doing great --she is such a happy girl. Her favorite things these days include sitting up, tearing things/ripping paper, and playing in her exersaucer! :) Here is our happy little lady. (Side note: I am not sure why the pictures are not oriented correctly...)
