A Trip to Nickelodeon Universe + Kickoff to Summer

We celebrated the end of another successful school year with a trip to Nickelodeon Universe - Always a highly anticipated day for the Storm children.

The crew absolutely LOVES going to the Amusement Park!

Lucy and Roman can fight like cats and dogs but put them together at an amusement park and they are best friends for life! :)

All of the kiddos liked the Haunted House. They get to shoot at ghosts and get points for all of their hits during the ride.

Leo adored the Paw Patrol space.

It was FUN to get whipped around by the Super Swiper ride.

It tried to grab a picture of their hair blowing in the wind. Haha!

I love seeing these three enjoying rides together.

The big kiddos stuck together so I spent a lot of 1:1 time with my Leo.

My little guy was all smiles.

His favorite ride was this 'Uppy Downy' one.

Don't let this picture fool you - Leo couldn't operate the bumper car very well so this smile quickly turned to tears of frustration. Whomp whomp!

Lucy and Roman also loved the big kid/adult version of the Uppy/Downy ride.
We visited the park on a Thursday when most of the Twin Cities Metro was still in school which was IDEAL - the lines were short, it was not crowded at all. We only stopped for lunch and a couple of bathroom breaks. It was a full and fun day - grateful for this little tradition!

Back at the ranch we rifled through our school bags and threw away the junk. This is what Roman's folders looked like at the end of his academic year. Yikes!

Lucy's friend and neighbor Marni has a June birthday so she had a sleepover with a pack of girlies. Reminds me of my own June birthday parties many years ago!

Lucy was at Marni's for the night so we opted to gain a kiddo and had Owen at our house for a sleepover. These boys played baseball for hours! We also had Costco Pizza and movie night, pretty much the evening of champions.

We made our first summer trip to the library. Of course everyone made a beeline to the I-pads.
Leo is obsessed with 'Who Would Win' books these days. ;)

After the library we headed over to the hair salon for a fresh summer cut.

We made another trip to Carson Park to see the Eau Claire Express play. :)

Becoming a professional bat boy would be Roman's dream job! He chases down foul balls like nobody's business.

Happy Summer1

End of the School Year

Neal visited Eau Claire at the beginning of June and Leo was living his best life that week as well. He was overjoyed to have his cousin so close!

June is Neal's birthday month so the boys worked hard on some birthday treat prep.

Roman was training for future Safety Patrol duties during his last days of school so Grandma and the little guys picked him up one afternoon. Leo and Neal enjoyed playing on the Sam Davey playground.

We celebrated Neal's birthday one evening with a little hot dog picnic at Jeffers Park. As you can see Lucy had a softball game that night. Happiest birthday to our sweet 6 year old nephew/cousin!!

We got Neal a Pokemon hat as part of his birthday gift - he wanted to wear it right away. Neal is always the life of the party!

The next day these 2 goofballs busted out all of their Pokemon gear.

Grandma Nola took the boys to Carson Park - I guess that there were school field trips at the playground so it was bananas!

Two hot and sweaty boys in the grocery cart, maneuvering through Festival Foods with their Grammy. These guys are right at the edge of being too big to squeeze into these spaces!

Goodbye 4th and 6th grade! Cheers to another successful school year.

Roman had a carnival on the last day of school and he came home with some treasures like sunnies, a blow up microphone, a toy saxophone, etc. Good stuff! Of course Leo wanted to play with everything right away too.

Leo had his last t-ball game of the season - he has really enjoyed playing with his bestie Henry.

What a FUN season for the Kangaroos.

After ball games we zipped over to the Pablo Center for Lucy's dress rehearsal. Love seeing her shine in the spring recital!

Leo is a classic 3rd child - always along for the ride! He had to eat his supper in the audience on this evening. :)

There were opportunities for photo ops backstage. Here is our sweet ballerina and her kid brother.

There was a big thunderstorm during rehearsal time so when we left the Pablo Center we were treated to the most beautiful double rainbow.

Photos don't do it justice ... I guess that I have become one of those people who has their 12 year old snapping pics out of the car window! Haha.

Classic midwest beauty - Rainbow in the background, Kwik Trip in the front. :)
