Early October Happenings

Here are some pictures of life at the Storm Household in early October ....

Lucy and Roman love getting Halloween packages from their family! Here they are enjoying stickers and little witch notebooks from Grandpa Ken and Grammy Nola. Thank you!

Here is a shot of a cranberry bog that Dan found while hunting.

We love using our bikes and spending time outdoors in the fall.

We tried to work in a couple more picnics before the snowflakes start falling.

We harvested the last of our tomatoes for the season.

We love watching the leaves turn colors - here is our view of the Pelican River this autumn.

Lucy celebrated her first Homecoming as a student at Rhinelander Public Schools! Haha! She was so excited to cheer with her Hodag paw. Some of the high school football players and cheerleaders came to her elementary school and it was magical. :)

The kids do lots of apple art this time of year.

I just love preschool pictures of people! :)

We broke out the pumpkin placemats and fall table decorations for the season.

Lucy wanted a couple of quick pictures before music class.

So did Roman! :)

Love these two! We had to wear our Halloween gear to the pumpkin patch - a blog post of that adventure will be posted soon! Happy Autumn everyone!

Meeting Baby James!

Warning - cuteness overload in this post!! We spent a wonderful weekend in Roseville this September introducing the kids to their sweet new cousin, baby James!

We picked up Lucy from school and hit the road. She was sporting a cool fall crown when we left for the Cities. :)

Lucy also had a Johnny Appleseed unit at school that week so she let Roman wear her crown celebrating apples. :)

These two were so pumped to meet their newest cousin! It was love at first sight!

How sweet is this little man? Love him!

The boys snuggled on Saturday morning.

We tried to give Brian, Amelia, and James some peace and quiet on Saturday morning so we had a little outing at Como Park!

We picked out some pumpkins

And splashed in the water fountains outside the conservatory. Always a favorite! :)

Uncle Brad came along for the adventure!

We even rode the carousel at the zoo! This was a first for everyone.

It was so much fun!

After a quick lunch, Roman got a quick haircut. Love my super guy!

Watch out James! You have some crazy uncles! :)

We can't get enough of this kiddo!

Auntie and Uncle love this precious boy!

After a fun filled Saturday, complete with a pizza party and a bonfire - these two were ready for bathtime...

And a book with Uncle Brad. :)

Thank you to Brian and Amelia for hosting us! We love your little family so much!

Roman's 3 year Well Child Check

Roman and I headed to see Dr Wood for his 3 Year Well Child Check in September. Friends, I don't want to jinx it or anything but it had been almost 3 months since our family last visited the clinic or lab. Insert grateful tear of joy here!! After so many appointments and lab visits over the past year, we are hoping that this fall/winter season is a healthier one for us this year.

Here is a selfie of Romy and Mama in the waiting room.

Roman was measured and weighed. He is now 3'4.5" which is just slightly off the charts for a 3 year old boy. He weighs 37 pounds which is around the 90th percentile.

He got a round of shots and was very brave. :) We got our stickers and made a quick stop at Dunkin Donuts to celebrate our healthy guy!

Mid-September Happenings

Here are the latest and greatest mid-September happenings at the Storm Household -
We try to make the most of the beautiful fall colors up here! Here are some pictures of a little family walk in our woods:

We started our Saturday music class again! Lucy and Roman love spending their Saturday mornings with Ms. Joanne and friends. The classes are in the basement of St. Augustine's Church so Lucy wanted to take a picture one day to show me that she was as big as the sign. :)

Sometimes after music we go out for lunch at Golden Harvest. The kids love to get grilled cheese or peanut butter and jam sandwiches there. :)

We attended the September Arty Party at Art Start. Each quarter when a new exhibit opens, Art Start will have a reception and then a family friendly Arty Party. It is so much fun. Mom and Dad can grab a drink, they have a gallery scavenger hunt and dress up for the kids, it is a great way to support the arts!

Roman quickly found his BFF - Singer. How cute are these two??

Singer and Roman go to day care together.

They had a blast together! They were big fans of the dress up bin.

Lucy is probably going to kill me some day for posting these pictures!! She always picks out the best ensembles! :) This is Lucy and Roman headed out for an outdoor adventure. Lucy has her safari hat, crazy dance leotard, lunch box, you know - all of the usual stuff! Haha!

Stopping for a quick snack in the woods. :)

Finally - here is some of Lucy and Roman's artwork from September! Lucy read The Kissing Hand and did some art work at Day Care and at 4K. She loves that book.

Roman worked on a frog.

He also made this great insect!

Happy Autumn everyone!
