Winter Trip to Green Bay

We took a quick winter trip to Green Bay over the President's Day Weekend! Unfortunately Daniel was sick so it was just me and these two cuties for the short getaway.

It snowed and sleeted the entire way to Green Bay so we arrived downtown to a fresh blanket of snow. First stop after stretching our legs -- posing in front of football statues.

We spent the afternoon at the Children's Museum. The kids absolutely loved running through the digestive tract exhibit!

Nothing better than zipping down a slide from the intestines into the toilet! ;)

Roman literally spent hours running through this circuit.

Blast from the past -- we visited the Green Bay Children's Museum back in 2015 and the kids enjoyed some of the same activities this time around!

Here is my sweet 6 year old in the sandpit.

And here is 3 year old Lucy Bear in the same Sandbox.

My 4 year old Roman loved the water table!

And Baby Roman adored the same water table at 18 months! Awwwwww!!!!!

Lucy did some fishing at the water table.

The kids loved doing the Lambeau leap!

Roman tried and tried to do the leap on his own. He just needs to be a couple of inches taller! Roman worked so hard that he ripped a hole in his pants. He was very proud of said rip and asked mom to take a picture!

After the museum we went out for pizza at Glass Nickel. Man we miss this place! Can someone please open a Glass Nickel in Rhinelander?

As always, there is a fine line between hugging and strangling with the Storm siblings.

We checked into our hotel and changed into our costumes for Disney on Ice! Here is Sleeping Beauty and Woody ready to go. Roman was so excited to show off his costume. He said, "Mom, I look so handsome! All of the boys are going to want to give me high fives!" Hahaha! I love it!

Of course we got snow cones and commemorative cups at the performance!

The kids loved the show! Roman got all kinds of compliments on his costume and he was soaking it up! He was still in full Woody character when we got back to the hotel and he realized that we forgot his toothbrush! We went to the front desk to see if they had any toothbrushes available. They did not and Roman's response was literally, "Oh shucks! Now I am going to get a cavity!" Hah! Where does he come up with this stuff? I assured him that he would not get a cavity from one missed night of brushing and we headed to bed.

The kids watched Lego Batman on television and left me a spot to squeeze into the middle of the bed with them. :) I am so lucky!!!

We kicked off Sunday with some hotel breakfast.

The kids were up and ready to swim at 615 ... unfortunately the hotel pool didn't open until 900 so there was a lot of waiting that morning. Sigh! We all survived the wait and had fun swimming!

And... we can't go all the way to Green Bay without a stop at Target. ;) The kids were troopers! We had an uneventful drive home and were so excited to see Dad (who was feeling much better after a very quiet day of rest).

Lunch with Lucy and Supper with Roman

You guys!!! Here we are during Valentine's week and I am realizing that I have been a total mom fail at taking pictures! Ugh! We had a very sweet family Valentines dinner last night and exchanged gifts and I have zero photos! Oh well!

I had Monday off of work because I am traveling to Milwaukee for a work trip later in the week. I got to have some one on one time with the kiddos and spent the rest of the day cleaning up the house!! Just living the glam life! ;)

Roman was so excited to go to the CLC on Monday because the kids were having their Valentines exchange. Here he is sporting his Dino Valentines shirt. :) I just love my little Romeo so much!

The Kindergarten kids at Pelican celebrated with a grandparents day on Monday. All of the Grandmas and grandpas were invited to lunch and craft time. Too bad our grandparents live so far away!! I ate lunch with Lucy on this day so that she could have someone special at school too.

Lunch with my girl! She was so pumped to eat with her mama.

We sat next to her friend Maggie and her grandparents. Love those rosy cheeks! These girls were out for recess right before lunch.

After lunch we worked on a craft - making quilt squares featuring a tradition or something that we like to do together.

Lucy drew a picture of us potting our flowers together in the spring. What a fun afternoon with my sweet girl.

Roman knew that mom was eating lunch with Lucy so I told him that we could have dinner together that evening. After I dropped Lucy off at ballet -- I picked up Roman and we visited the library. Romy always says hello to all of the library pets!

Roman loves the library!

We ate dinner at Golden Harvest on this night -- Roman's choice. I just love spending one on one time with my boy!

Hope everyone is having a special Valentine's week! Xoxo

Weekend Recap

We had a great weekend at the Storm household. We kicked things off by going to the Peter Rabbit movie! The kids loved it. :) Yes, Roman is wearing his Minion Jammies. That's how we roll! :) He had pj day at school that Friday and did not want to change!

Daddy was gone catching deer over the weekend so these two piled in my bed. :)

After some time at the gym and Adventure Alley on Saturday morning we headed to music class. These girls always have the best time!

Sigh! It is Bunny ear central with Lucy these days.

We worked on Valentines on Saturday afternoon. Lucy gave her little friends Reese's Pieces and told them that she loved them to pieces.

She also had a gift for her teacher. This package is just so cute that I had to take a picture! :)

After church on Sunday we played outside for a bit and blew bubbles!

Can you tell that we are eager for spring??

Okay - I had to post this one from our quiet time on Sunday. One of Lucy's newest loves is Girl's World magazine. She checks one out almost every week from her school library. Both Lucy and Roman are obsessed with the little quizzes and games in the magazine. One this day, they were playing 'Which Is Worse?' which basically lists 2 gross things and they need to decide which one is worst. I am telling you that this quiz has provided more laughs and entertainment than you can imagine!

Girl Scout Sisterhood Dance

The Girl Scouts of Rhinelander held a Sisterhood Dance this winter. Lucy has the best time!! The girls rocked the dance floor and had lots of fun with props and a photo booth.

This is Lucy and her friend Olivia getting ready for their turn in the photo booth.

Can you spot Lucy in the limbo line? :)

The girls played musical chairs.

And they did the chicken dance!

Here are some of Lucy's treasures -- sweet photo booth snaps with Olivia and Caroline.

It was a great afternoon of dancing, pizza, treats, and photos for the girls!

Early February Happenings

Here are some February updates from the Storm household...

I just love that Lucy's Kindergarten teacher sends sweet pictures like this one my way!

Lucy is a big fan of Valentine's Day - she made this fun card in her Art class. :)

Lucy's elementary school does an awesome job of getting the kids out snowshoeing! Here is our girl exercising with her friends on a winter day.

The kiddos like to snuggle in our bed when Dad is away on work trips, especially on chilly winter nights. Thanks for the fun pajamas, Grandma Sharon & Grandpa Glen!

Here are some snaps from a Friday night game night at the Storm's!

Lucy has recently discovered bunny ears. Sigh! Pictures will never be the same...

Another new discovery is her love of paper fortune tellers. Lucy makes these in her after school program with some older girls and the little fortunes are so dang cute!

We celebrated groundhogs day with party hats!

We are hitting the sledding hills as much as possible this season!

On this particular Saturday we got a few inches of fresh snow which made the afternoon even more fun!

After sledding we headed out for dinner at the Mexican restaurant with the O'Casey family. What a nice evening!

We prepped for the Super Bowl by making some fun treats on Sunday afternoon! These cute brownie footballs are always a hit!

Also, thanks to Pinterest, I made this sweet Rice Krispie treat football field! Isn't it fun?

This is what our crew looked like on Super Bowl Sunday. Clearly we are still in denial! Hahahaha! We watched the big game at the MacFarland's house this year. The kids had a great time playing, we actually enjoyed a good game, and it was fun to see those Patriots lose! Hah! And, I would be remiss if I did not mention the awesome half time show! Daniel especially appreciated Justin Timberlake's elk shirt! ;)

It was a late night on Sunday so this is what our Monday morning vibes looked like! Lucy and Romy snuggling on the couch watching PBS kids.

Lucy celebrated 100 days of school by crafting a pot with 100 gold coins and making a rainbow with 100 dots.

While Lucy worked on her school project, Roman played 'Noah's Ark' and lined up all of his animals. Look at how long he looks in this picture!! My baby boy is getting so big!!

Finally, the kids and I worked on fun Valentine's Day packages for the cousins.

Hope everyone is staying healthy and warm!
