Happy Birthday Grandpa Ken!

While we were visiting Amelia and Brian for Easter, we celebrated Grandpa Ken's Birthday. It wouldn't be a birthday without German Chocolate Cake!

Here is Grandpa with Lucy and Roman - I think that Lucy may have assisted in blowing out the candles. :)

I had to include this picture because I just like the expression on Lucy's face.  Haha!

Happy Birthday Ken! We love you! Have a great year.

Roman's 2nd Haircut

Roman's hair was getting kind of shaggy so, when we headed to the Twin Cities for Easter celebrations, we scheduled a trim.

As you can see, Roman's hair was getting in his eyes.

Before his cut, Grammy and Roman drew pictures on a chalk board. Grandma is pretty good at drawing Wonder Woman, right? :)

Here is Rachel, Roman's stylist. You can see she is offering him trains to play with, he also watched Paw Patrol at the salon. Roman did a great job during his cut - I only heard him once when he yelled, 'Ouch! You just combed my cheek!'  Haha!

Handsome little man!

Here is the finished look! Love it!

Winters End Powwow 2016

Our family made its second annual outing to the Forest County Potawatomi's Winters End Powwow in Crandon. We had a very busy Saturday with T-ball, music class, and Evelyn's Birthday Party so we decided to attend the Sunday event this year. Grand March was at noon. Here are Daddy and Lucy eagerly anticipating the entrance of the dancers and drummers.

We had a great afternoon. The dancing, singing, and drumming was phenomenal. The kids loved all of the vibrant colors. We feel very lucky to live so close to the FCP community!

Here are some photos of the powwow! Enjoy!

Too bad that the 'Winter's End' Powwow doesn't guarantee the actual end of winter! :( We are still donning our winter gear as we head outdoors and go on our daily walks with Ranger. Can't wait for spring!

Making Pancakes

We had a quiet weekend morning recently (a rare thing at our house!) so we decided to make a big breakfast complete with pancakes.
Lucy and Roman could not wait to help out.

Lucy loves to mix!

Happy 2nd Birthday Evelyn!

We celebrated our dear friend Evelyn's 2nd Birthday in March. The kids were very excited to join the celebration! They had a lot of fun with their friends at a puppy themed party.

These two love any excuse for a cupcake. :)

Hope you have a great year, Baby E!

Easter Egg Hunt and Other Saturday Happenings

We attended our second annual Easter egg hunt at the movie theater in Rhinelander. It is a really fun event.

Here is Roman searching for eggs.

Looking high and low for treats!

Lucy loaded up on eggs. The limit is 10 per child so she had to put some back! :)

Here are our eager egg hunters.

After the hunt we opened up all of our treasures in the lobby.

The kids got all kinds of little treats - bracelets, rings, balls, stickers, tattoos, etc. After we finished the egg hunt, the kids got popcorn and sno-cones. When you attend the event you get tickets that can be used on crafts or else they can be redeemed on stuff from the concessions like popcorn or sno-cones. My kids promptly ran past the crafting tables toward the popcorn! Oh well! The theater also had a number of movies running concurrently during the event. It is perfect for the children because they can step into a movie late and leave early and still feel like they did something pretty awesome! :) We stepped in for part of Kung Fu Panda 2 before heading to Music class.

At music class, Ms Joanne had a special treat for the kids - we are now in the spring unit of the Cycle of the Seasons so everyone got a plant to take home. Unfortunately Roman knocked his over and spilled everything right away but Lucy has been pretty diligent about caring for her plant. The seeds are growing! Can't wait for planting season. :)

St. Patrick's Day 2016

Happy St. Patrick's Day from the Storm Household!

The kids were excited to sport their St. Patty's shirts to school. :)

Our house was filled with clover and rainbow art thanks to the holiday.
Lucy's class is studying weather so she made us this beautiful cloud with a rainbow.

Here is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

A colorful painting!

Lucy can put the letters in order to spell her name. :)
